The David Lopatie Conference Centre

The School will take place in the David Lopatie Conference Centre (9-12/12) and Ebner Auditorium (13/12) of the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Rehovot is located in the center of the country, ca. 20 km south of Tel Aviv.
December corresponds to winter in Israel. The winters in Rehovot are mild, with typical daytime temperatures in the range of 10-20 deg C, and night-time from 5-10 deg C. Strong rains can occur, but no snow.
The country is served by Ben Gurion International Airport (IATA code: TLV), about 12 km north-eash of Rehovot. From the aiport, one can travel to Rehovot via taxi or train, as detailed below.
In general, citizens of many countries (e.g. USA, European Union countries) will be issued a visa upon arrival in Israel. Others will need to request a visa at the Israeli Embassy in their country. Please check what visa requirements apply for you at the Israeli Ministry of Tourism, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The train station is located inside the airport, and therefore it is the easiest way to travel to the Weizmann Institute Of Science. In Rehovot, the train station is only a few minutes' walk from the Institute's main gate, as shown in the map below.
Trains run all day Sunday through Thursday. Fridays they run only until early afternoon, and Saturdays only in the late evening.
The fare is: 16.5 NIS, and it takes 45-55 minutes, depending on the exact hour.
Note that there is no direct train to Rehovot. One has to switch trains in "Tel Aviv Ha-Hagana"(detailed route map below).

There is a taxi stand outside the airport. The fare is 120-170 NIS (day and night rates are different) and it takes 25-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
