For this 17th edition of FRISNO, arriving in Aussois is somewhat more difficult than it used to be at previous editions. The reason lies in the landslide that occurred by the end of 2023 that still interrupts the Paris-Torino TGV-LYRIA train line at Saint Jean de Maurienne when arriving from Paris. From there, bus connexions are available to Modane and then additional connexions to Aussois by bus or taxis are available. However, on the arrival day (16/03/2025) and on the departure day (21/03/2025), we organize bus transfers between Saint Jean de Maurienne and Aussois, synchronized with the train arrival and departure times.
Buses will leave Saint Jean de Maurienne on the 16th at 17:30 and at 22:00. The drive to Aussois is about an hour and fifteen minutes.
You may arrive also from Geneva, Torino or Lyon airports but we do not recommend the train from Torino (only driving). Please also check the frequency of flights to and from Israël - Geneva and its connexion to Chambery where you can reach Saint Jean de Maurienne.
If you choose the car transfer, the highway to Modane is operational both from Paris (A43-E70) or from Torino (A32-E70).
