Welcome

Recent advances in genetics and in molecular neurobiology enable rapid progress in understanding the mechanisms of neurodegeneration. We invite you to join us in a Minna James Heinemann Summer School that will focus on RNA quality control in homeostasis, and on the intimate relationship of RNA-protein macromolecular assemblies , in degenerative neuronal states. Defects in regulatory RNAs and in RNA-binding proteins emerge as new mechanism of neurological diseases and their interrelations with aggregate inclusions and protein quality control will be discussed.

The meeting will take place at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel,  June 3, 2015 in partnership with an EMBO workshop on 'Macromolecular Assemblies at the Crossroads of Stress and Function'.

We look forward to seeing you at the  Weizmann Institute of Science
