The recent advances in biochemical, biophysical as well as computational and theoretical studies on various aspects of the mechanism of protein-DNA recognition and their implications on cellular functions make it a very timely event.

The workshop will provide an exciting and broad forum to discuss new developments as well as open questions in the fields of protein-DNA recognition and in particular the mechanisms of facilitated diffusion. Emphasis is placed on bringing people with different approaches and
backgrounds together.

In addition to the invited presentations from leaders in the field, the workshop will provide opportunities for junior scientists and graduate students to present their work via
abstract-selected presentations and posters.
